One of the things to put Iblis on the run - is to recite the adhan (call to prayer):
"Allahu-Akbar! Allahu-Akbar!"
"Allahu-Akbar! Allahu-Akbar!"
"Ash-Hadu-a Laa elaha illa-lah!"
"Ash-Hadu-a Laa elaha illa-lah!"
"Ash-Hadu-ana Muhammadar-Rasoolullah!"
"Ash-Hadu-ana Muhammadar-Rasoolullah!"
"Hiya 'ala salah! Hiya 'ala salah!"
"Hiya 'ala falah! Hiya 'ala falah!"
"Allahu-Akbar! Allahu-Akbar!"
"Laa elaha illa-lah!"
And the iqama (call to establish prayer - a smaller version of the adhan):
"Allahu-Akbar! Allahu-Akbar!"
"Ash-Hadu-a Laa elaha illa-lah!"
"Ash-Hadu-ana Muhammadar-Rasoolullah!"
"Hiya 'ala salah! Hiya 'ala falah!"
"Iqamas-Salah! Iqamas-Salah!"
"Allahu-Akbar! Allahu-Akbar!"
"Laa elaha illa-lah!"
Reciting (or having someone recite) the entire second chapter (Al Baqarah) in the house prevents the shayton from entering the house for three days.
This could be repeated every three days to continue the protection.
Verses from Quran to recite for protection from evil:
Chapter 2, verse 255 (called ayat-ul kursi)
Chapter 2, verses 285, 286 (end of first chapter)
Chapter 112 Al Ikhlaas (Sincerity)
Chapter 113 Al Falaq (Dawn)
Chapter 114 An Naas (Mankind)
